Purpose of the Privacy Policy

PKB Spółka z ograniczoną odpowiedzialnością Spółka komandytowa, entered into the National Court Register, XII Economic Division for the capital city of Warsaw under the number 0000598100, NIP (Tax Identification Number) 5213719887, REGON (National Business Registry Number) 363567197, values the trust you have placed in us by providing us with your personal data. We promise to treat your Personal Data in accordance with this policy, applicable laws, and your choices. We use Personal Data to fulfill your orders, send you emails you have subscribed to, or to contact you in other ways if you have given your consent. At the same time, we use your personal data to improve our products and enhance the shopping experience in our store through any channel.

This Privacy Policy applies to the processing of Personal Data collected and processed online, as well as to Personal Data collected through other channels (telephone, physical stores, prize contests, unless specified otherwise).

This Privacy Policy is intended to provide a clear picture of how we process the Personal Data you provide, our commitment to its protection, and your rights and options to control your Personal Data and protect your privacy.

The controller of your personal data obtained in the manner described in this document (section "How and Which Personal Data We Collect") is PKB spółka z o.o. sp.k. with its registered office in Warsaw at ul. Solec 18 lok. B21 (00-410 Warsaw), which you can contact by post or by writing to the email address: mateusz@polight.me. We have appointed a Data Protection Officer, whom you can contact by post at our registered office address and via email at: mateusz@polight.me.

Definitions

  • "Personal Data" means any information that relates to you and identifies you personally, either alone or in combination with other information available to us. PKB Company will collect various Personal Data that you provide to us, including your purchase history. PKB Company will not collect any special categories of Personal Data (unless specified otherwise).

  • "Newsletters" are electronic messages that contain news for informational purposes, offers, events, promotions, and any other information that PKB Company wishes to share with you.

  • "Processor under an Agreement" are partners with whom PKB Company has signed a written agreement and who process Personal Data only on behalf of PKB Company and do not share it with third parties.

  • "Website" refers to the page www.Polight.me.

Personal Data Collected

Your Personal Data is collected through:

  • Subscribing to the newsletter – you sign up to receive emails which include news for informational purposes, offers, events, promotions, and any other information that PKB Company wishes to share with you.

  • Placing an order (online or by phone) – when ordering products, you must provide us with your Personal Data to process the order.

  • Registration – PKB Company offers the option to register on the website, so you do not have to fill in your delivery details every time you order a product. Registration is not required for a purchase, and you decide whether you want to register or not.

  • Prize Contests – various Personal Data is collected as part of participation in Prize Contests; their rules are established in separate Terms and Conditions. Please check the contest's Terms and Conditions before deciding to participate.

  • Physical stores – you can also share your Personal Data with our team in physical stores. This is, of course, not required for a purchase.

Depending on the Personal Data you wish to share, as well as the purpose or method of its collection, the data collected from you may include:

  • Email address;

  • First name;

  • Last name;

  • Address;

  • Postal code and city;

  • Telephone number (landline and/or mobile);

  • Date of birth;

  • Gender.

Based on your use of the website (registration, order, etc.), your browser sends information via our servers, including your IP address, the date and time of your visit, information about the time spent on our pages, the referral URL (the website you came from), the subpages visited on our sites, and information about your device or browser (e.g., browser type and version, operating system).

Processing of Personal Data

Order Fulfillment

If you have ordered Products from PKB Company, we will use your Personal Data to send you the ordered products and to contact you regarding the status of your order via email, telephone, or otherwise. This will be done for the performance of the purchase contract. We will also transfer your Personal Data to the delivery company and the warehouse so that your order can be dispatched and delivered to your delivery address. We process Personal Data in this way on the legal basis of the sales contract we have entered into with you.

We may also use your age data to verify whether you are old enough to enter into a valid purchase contract and whether we are permitted to process your Personal Data. We use Personal Data in this manner based on a legal obligation.

Personal data is protected in accordance with the Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation) (Official Journal of the EU L. 2016 No. 119, p. 1), the Act of 18 July 2002 on the provision of electronic services (Journal of Laws 2002, No. 144, item 1204), and the Act of 16 July 2004 Telecommunications Law (Journal of Laws 2004 No. 171, item 1800).

Customer Service

If you contact us via email, phone, or chat (on our websites or on social media), we will process your Personal Data, including your order information and purchase history, to resolve your issue and provide you with the best possible service. We will process such Personal Data as necessary for the performance of the contract with PKB Company or if it is legally required.

Personalized Communication

  • If you have subscribed to our newsletters, thereby expressing your wish to receive our emails and agreeing to our Privacy Policy, we will send you personalized communication via email based on your consent.

  • If you have consented (online, by phone, or in-store) to personalized communication, we may communicate with you by phone, SMS, email, or through printed materials, e.g., catalogs.

  • We may also send you catalogs based on the company's legitimate interest.

  • To provide a better shopping experience, we may send you product offers specifically tailored to your preferences. This type of personalization is based on your previous purchases and activities on our websites and is carried out based on the company's legitimate interest.

Analytics

PKB Company will also use your Personal Data for analysis and research (such analysis and research will be conducted on an anonymized basis wherever possible), which is necessary for our legitimate interest to understand our customers and your preferences, identify patterns and trends, improve user experience, provide information, content, and offers tailored to your needs, for general research and statistical purposes, and for aggregated reporting purposes, to develop new products and services, monitor the performance of existing products and services, and improve our technology, to be able to send personalized marketing messages and display online advertisements.

Sharing of Personal Data

Processors under an Agreement (Data Processors)

We respect the trust you have placed in us by sharing your Personal Data, and we will not share it with anyone for their own use or purpose. However, we may share your Personal Data with our partners—entities with whom we have signed agreements, for example, for the delivery of your ordered products (our warehouse, courier company), payment processing (e.g., banks), and the execution of personalized communication (printing houses, delivery services), etc. We have entered into written agreements with these companies to process your Personal Data only for the purposes specified above.

Social Media

The PKB Company websites may feature plugins from various social networking sites. If you choose to interact (by registering a social media account), your activity on our website or through our applications may also be available to that social network, based on the privacy policies you agreed to when registering with that network. If you do not want to share this information, please log out of such social media.

Public Authorities

In the event of any requests from law enforcement or other public authorities, and in connection with certain legal proceedings, investigations, etc., PKB Company may share personal data with such authorities.

With Your Consent

In addition to the above, PKB Company may share your Personal Data only with your prior consent. This is not a standard practice but may occur in the future.

Protection of Personal Data

PKB Company works effectively to implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures, based on a conducted risk assessment, to protect against unauthorized or unlawful processing and against accidental loss, destruction, or damage.

Furthermore, we will not transfer your Personal Data to third countries (countries outside the EU) unless appropriate safeguards are in place in accordance with applicable laws.

User Rights

You may request to exercise the rights below at any time, free of charge.

Withdrawal of Consent

If you wish to limit communication from PKB Company to certain channels or exclude all communication, you can do so at any time by sending us an email or calling us.

Additionally, you can unsubscribe from our email communications by clicking the unsubscribe link located in the header or footer of every promotional email (newsletter) from PKB Company.

By doing so, you will opt-out of receiving our emails and/or communications via other channels: SMS, printed materials, catalogs, telemarketing.

We will make every effort to process your withdrawal of consent as quickly as possible. Due to the specifics of the business process and technical limitations, it is possible that for up to 15 days from the date of your withdrawal, you may still receive emails with marketing offers and other content from PKB Company (in cases where the email has already been sent or is in the process of being sent). We apologize in advance and ask for your understanding.

If you have a registered account, you can review some of your Personal Data after logging in. However, to access all of your Personal Data, please contact us by sending an email to mateusz@polight.me, and we will send you a copy of all the Personal Data we process about you. Such Personal Data will be provided in an electronic format, which can be transferred to a third party upon request.

At any time, you can also request the rectification of your Personal Data or the erasure of your Personal Data by sending an email to mateusz@polight.me.

Retention of Personal Data

We will retain your Personal Data for as long as it is legally required or as long as your consent is valid. However, you may at any time request access to your Personal Data or the erasure of your Personal Data (unless we have a legal obligation to continue processing such Personal Data).

Changes to the Privacy Policy

PKB Company is committed to adhering to globally recognized principles and regulations concerning Personal Data. To this end, and based on your feedback, we will update this Privacy Policy to ensure it is free from errors, contains appropriate information about your rights and processing activities, and complies with applicable laws and best practices.

We may change it from time to time to adapt to new legal and marketing opportunities. If we make significant changes, we will inform you through notifications on our websites or by sending an updated policy to your email address. The updated Privacy Policy will always be published on this page.
